Commission-Free Food Delivery in Bradford
If you run a takeaway or restaurant in Bradford, the commission you pay Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat is probably your single biggest controllable cost.
A typical Bradford takeaway doing £200 a day through the apps gives up £50 to £70 every day in commission. That’s £1,500 to £2,100 a month, or £18,000 to £25,000 a year, that you’ll never see.
MealShift is a different deal. We’re a commission-free delivery service. You pay a flat fee per delivery, not a percentage of order value. Independent restaurants in BD1, BD3, BD5 and BD8 are the postcodes we’re prioritising as we launch in Bradford this year.
How it works for Bradford restaurants
- You take direct orders on your own website. WooCommerce, Shopify, or whatever you already use.
- We pick up and deliver. Verified local drivers, GPS-tracked, your branding on the customer confirmation.
- You pay per drop, not per percentage. Pricing scales with volume.
The bit most restaurant owners don’t realise: the delivery fee doesn’t have to come out of your pocket. On your own checkout you charge the customer a delivery fee, exactly the way Deliveroo does. On Deliveroo, that £2.99 goes to Deliveroo. On your own site, it comes to you and covers most or all of our per-drop fee. Structured right, the customer funds the delivery and the commission just vanishes.
You don’t have to leave the apps
Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat all have a self-delivery tier where you handle the courier instead of their rider network. On that tier, commission drops from 30 to 35 percent down to around 12 percent. We slot in as the courier. You keep every listing, every bit of discovery from the apps, and the customer’s delivery fee flows back to you because you’re fulfilling.
Net effect on the same app order you’re taking today: roughly two-thirds of the commission bill saved, with zero change to what the customer sees at checkout.

We’re actively recruiting couriers ahead of launch. If you drive a car or van in BD1 through BD18, we want to hear from you. First-wave drivers get priority dispatch when we open the first restaurant.
